Primary sound designer for Chico State’s The River Bride, in which I created mystical sounds to represent life in the Amazon Rainforest. Manipulated field recordings of dolphins, insects, birds, rain and rivers to create a cohesive soundscape.

Sample Highlights

Timelapse

The sound design of The River Bride in microcosm; The time in the play shifts from noon, to night, to sunrise. Under the sounds of the rainforest a magic hum is heard, foreshadowing the events to come.

An acoustic guitar riff distorted and morphed into a persistent warm hum. Overlaid with authentic rainforest field recordings from various times of the day.
