Choreographer: Ali Duffy
Cinematographer: Andrew Ina
Composer: Oliver Loll
Labyrinth is a dance piece choreographed by Ali Duffy, filmed and edited by Andrew Ina. It called for original music that remained ambiguous, while still closely following the action.
This music piece was created for individual instruments to represent each character’s movements, intentions and emotions, a la Peter and the Wolf.
This is the full version of the track, before minor edits were done to address pacing with the video.
If you wish to hear the final version, the full video will be added to this page soon.

An early visual to help with composing the piece, and to keep the character's intentions/actions in mind during each section. Each row represents a character, and time scrolls from left to right. Near the top is a frame of the video at that particular time.

The individual notes played by the guitar (green) and the pluck synth (orange) at timestamp 1:58.

The full file of Labyrinth. Each of the green sections contains midi notes like in the previous image. Each blue section contains an audio recording, such as a drum hit or recording of foley work.

Automation and effects are used on most instruments, for extra flavor or precision. Sometimes this is done alongside other steps, but often this is an end step.

EQs and Compressors are mastering tools used throughout, but are almost always the last element to be finalized.
